Friday Favorites || product of third trimester insomnia

time is ticking away.  h o w has another month almost come & gone?
we literally just got back from the beach & cam started the first grade.
now, he has almost been in this new school year for a whole month...

it seems there is so much to do before our sweet girl arrives (and we need so much more time!), but in reality, regardless of if everything we want to get done- actually gets done, everything will be OKAY & the world will keep turning.  right? 🤗  this is a lesson I've learned time & time again.

life this week...
one. insomnia
perhaps it was the steroid shots...or the fact that my heartburn kicked in.
too much lemonade?  could be.
whatever the reason.  tepp & I pulled an all-nighter wednesday night.
the holiday on repeat. lists. plans. interesting.  pretend shopping. unloading the dishwasher was the only productive thing I can say that I found myself doing.
also.
can I have all of Cameron Diaz's cute wardrobe choices from this movie for winter to cover up my fresh post partum bod?🤔
I digress.
two. nursery progress
rug ✔️
closet space ✔️
furniture on the way ✔️
this room would not exist without the help of our family.  I'm so grateful for bebe, joe daddy, + kk & all the help they've given us around the home.  without them, things wouldn't be coming together the way that they are.  my list of todo's, okay, things I "think" I have to buy in here is driving me crazy.  I'm the worlds worst to be inpatient.  it's one of those, ya just need to take a seat in the thankful chair & look at all God's blessed with & forget the rest.  these are some of my most teachable moments.

three. big boy room progress
i'm coming to terms with the fact that when you want things done right, things have to wait.  the boys don't even technically sleep in their room & right now it functions as a guest room when needed-making it at the lower end of the priority at the moment.  all the praise hands lifted to Jesus that their clothes are organized & all in one place so-it is a functional space, though not put together yet!

four. crockpot queen
two weeks & counting of crockpot weeknight success.
thank you Pinterest.
I doubted myself.
I have learned one thing.  never doubt the power of ice cream.
it made Conley eat & love beef stroganoff.

five. garvin & co's back to school morning playlist
cam & I tried it out one morning this week & loved it.  plus, I got rid of old town road for a few seconds🤪.  aside from this playlist, i also love her blog & insta account for holiday/home inspo &the wealth of essential oil info.  sometimes it scares me how I'm hearing myself talk when she refers to her childhood, love for fall, & christmas quotes. #twinning
---
p.s. I had to add Aretha franklin's "you send me" to my personal list after watching the holiday...
source: garvin & co

I also got dunking donuts two times this week before teletherapy. does that count as a memorable fav for the week? I vote yes.
50 days or less + counting til' baby girl💕
wishing you all a happy s l o o o o w holiday weekend!

Baby A # 3 || 33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain: 22 lbs (Baby girl was 4 lbs 6 oz)
Maternity clothes? YES.  It's hard to find tops to cover my belly!  Dresses/overalls/rompers are the least needy things to wear, as I don't have to make sure my belly isn't hanging out.
Sleep: I have to pee about 4 times a night!  The ultrasound yesterday showed that she is right on my bladder, therefore, you can imagine how little liquid has to be in me to have the sensation to go😂. Basically, I just have to stand up.
Movement?  She is the energizer bunny🐰. Never not moving, basically.
Best moment this week: Getting answers. A little over a week ago, I went to the hospital with contractions coming every 5 minutes.  I have never experienced that before in all of my pregnancies.  After resting for about 40 minutes, taking Tylenol, & laying the water to me, with no avail, we were instructed to head to the hospital triage.  After they hooked me up to monitor heart rate & contractions, apparently the Tylenol kicked in, & the contractions went down to about 5 an hour.  Once I left triage, of course they would kick back in & lasted until about 3-4pm that evening.   More Tylenol, rest, and water must have done the trick, because they stopped.  I have to say, with all that went on while I was pregnant with Conley, my nerves just haven't been settled with this pregnancy-especially when one month my cervix shrank substantially this pregnancy.  *Though every pregnancy is different*, I was on bed rest, progesterone, steroid shots, all to prepare for premature labor with Conley.  Though my cervix hasn't been (to our knowledge) as short this time-it's hard to understand how the care can be so different.  I expressed all of these concerns at my appointment yesterday & they did a little more investigating to ease my worries.)  It turns out, I was dilated 1 cm, though not a huge concern at 33 weeks with a third baby, still enough to go ahead and get steroid shots and monitor dilation every week until 36 weeks.  It's definitely not a fun regimen, but I just want her to stay put as long as she needs to & to have a healthy baby girl when the time is right.  Hopefully, all will go well😊
discussing cologne bedside.
gave me 3 shots...who dis?
Miss Anything? Laying on my belly & sitting with out my back feeling like it's going to crush my tail bone.
Cravings: Bruster's Key Lime Ice Cream.  Don't try it unless you want to be hooked!  Also, ice.  Crushed ice.  Is just looking at coffee considered a legit craving?  I don't particularly crave the taste, just carrying it around.
Gender:  Girl 🎀
Looking forward to: Just making it one more day to see her sweet face.  I'm really trying to be present and mindful of each and every day of this last pregnancy.  The little kicks, the flutters, the fact that God has allowed me to carry three healthy babies & grow to love them before I even meet them.  It's a beautiful love story that I have no doubt he careful wove together...the love of a mother.  Blessed is an understatement.

Friday Favorites || Long Time, No See

It has been a looonnng time since I participated in High Five for Friday & can I just say how much I miss it!?  I'm scared to say this, but maybe life has slowed down just enough to give my blog a little attention.  I sure have missed virtually spilling my brain about our weeks & all the thoughts I'm filled on this blank white screen.  It really is therapeutic for me!

This weeks faves...

one. cam starts first grade!
who confused the first day of school?  this girl.  we were driving home from the beach & got a phone call from Cam's school greeting us into the new school year which started the next day with a half day!  Wouldn't you know this would happen?  I felt terrible for messing that up (I thought he started Tuesday, & that's what I'd been prepping him for).  Somehow we pulled it together & though the entire week felt like a marathon-we DID it!  And it turned out to be a great week.  God is always SO good!

two.  week two of new experience as a TELETHERAPIST
I'm scared to death to say this...but I am L O V I N G teletherapy.  I keep waiting for there to be some catch to this dream world, but with my second week in, aside from a few scheduling + technology glitches, it is AH-MAZZZ-ING.  I don't have to leave the house & get tons of breaks in between.  Plus, I haven't been hit or had my hair pulled out the whole time:). It's one of those..."oh, so this is what I killed myself for during my 7 years of college...I get it now" moments.  And I thought that moment would never come!
the best part of this gig?
I get to do more mom things!🙌🏻
Picking Cam up & dropping him off is one of the highlights of my day.
I never knew how much that would mean to me.

three.  nesting mode || august progress
Bebe, Joe Daddy, & KK (Cade's mom, dad, & sis) so graciously came down & offered their time to help us this past weekend do a little work around the house.  We added an extra shelf to both the boys & baby girl's room & you would not believe what a difference that makes in everyday life (putting away laundry, getting dressed, getting organized).  It is a life changer.  We also found a ROUND HUGE Restoration Hardware table on the yard sale page for the dining room & I don't think Cade or I have loved a piece of furniture more than this piece😂.  Overall, we still have a long way to go, but PROGRESS!  I still have to paint Baby Girl's closet (almost done) before we can organize, but we did finish the boys...
It's a beaut, Clark!  Now we need taller chairs😂

four.  flag football baller status
cam's first sport ever
Can I just say how thankful I am for flag football for a "first year-er?"
A little less nerve wracking without all the tackling!
We decided to let Cam be the one to decide/mention when he wanted to start sports.  My mentality is...let them be kids for as long as possible.  Granted, he didn't know what the heck he was doing for a little while😬...he caught on pretty fast.🤗   And though this season has been incredibly busy & fast, & FOUR games during the first week of school can be totally o v e r w h e l m i n g ...he seems to enjoy it when he gets on the field.  And he does awesome!
I can't believe my baby Cam Cam is this big.🙈

five.  Also, ME
Happy weekending❤️

Beach Vacation || 2019

Well, we went hard, we played all day, we ate our weight in seafood + ice cream -
I'd say it is safe to say we conquered 2019 vacation mode.

This summer was the first time I'd ever been to the beach pregnant, & man is it overrated.
😜
Just kidding.  It's a good excuse to eat ice cream for dessert every night.
The boys had waited all summer for this week, & I don't think it disappointed.
It was a great family trip as both mine & Cade's families celebrated the last official week of summer vacation together.

We spoiled them this trip-doing something every night.
We played putt putt, went to Ripley's Titanic, a trampoline park, the sky wheel & bumper boats.
We even topped the day off with crab hunts a couple of nights.
Crashing into bed every evening of vacation was proof that a good time was had by all!

Funny moments
Conley <playing, stops to watch a hotel commercial about family time>
Turns around & says:  "That's what we're doing, mom."
Looks back at T.V.  Turns around again with his hand held out to his side: "We've got to share."

There you have it folks, family time is sharing time.
I don't know. It definitely spoke to Conley.  Well done, Holiday Inn.

We couldn't keep Cade out of the ocean or pool without his snorkel.
He was o b s e s s e d.

Cam: "This guy has a friend name Uber...and he takes him everywhere."
ROAD TRIP FUEL🤗

He just loves Starbucks...
My sweet Conley
Conley: and I quote: "Helllllllloooooo, ladies!"😳
Game face, who dis?
My big FIRST grader!!
Of course, he picked the poop float.
milk shakes + p.j.'s
I can stare at them sleeping forever.
avid crab hunters - they named every crab we caught & then we let them go🦀
we ended up taking two hermit crabs home-what an adventure that has been😂
my boyfriend-i love having boys!
the main Adams brother food groups: candy, candy cane, candy corn, syrup.  Oh, and bread + cheese.
Captain Andreson's is my #2 fav meal of year, right under Thanksgiving dinner.
Look at that plate🤤

we rode the sky wheel this year!  it was finally open & the views were absolutely be a-utiFUL

bumper boats for the win.
date night selfie.
he never cooperates.
rainbows all week long!
the bump & key lime pie ice cream🤰🏻🍦
cade & I sat and people watched like old people at Pier Park.  then went home.  it was fabulous.
let's stay up all night!
it always ends like this😉

coffee on this porch...always a summer fav
these nerds.

let's get our picture taken, mom!
these boys & their cup game was strong this week!

And the highlight of coming home was coming home to our pups.
The boys missed this girl SO much!

Happy end of summer!
