Weekending

Things I've pondered this weekend:
1.  Why are public restrooms among the most favored places to visit, explore, & try out for Conley Scout?

2.  Real life-everyday question.  At the end of the day, are we doing a good job raising these boys?  Saturday was a FUN day!  But Conley screamed bloody murder for Cade's phone the entire time he was getting his hair cut & Cam cried before we sent them upstairs at 9 pm so we could have a 1 hour window of adult time after spending the entire day together.  A sad & guilty way to end the day...

3.  Who is influencing America's fashion choices these days?  White chunky old lady shoes.  Crop tops.  Kip Dynamite reading glasses.  Shorts up the hiney.  Just not understanding how we've decided that all this has a place in 2019...

Aside from all of my deep thoughts...

one. saturday is my favorite
I loved Saturday!  I never feel more rested when we stay home.  we had the first smores of the warm weather season with our sweet neighbor friends Friday evening & then spent Saturday being lazy!  SO glad Cade didn't have to work.  hair cuts + Sams run (not that y'all care😜)+ we ended it at neyland stadium for the vols walk and the orange + white game.  Conley is probably not ready for a "real" game (he was about to triple sow cow off the bleacher & crowd surf just before he asked the older lady behind us to marry him), but Cam totally is!  the game left him begging to go to the UT football summer camp & excited for the fall season.

two.  taco bout a baby
we are nearing finding out the gender!  thinking it will end up being the first of May.  having to be patient over here...but I'm so excited!  just ready to know.  thinking about doing a Cinco de Mayo type mini reveal.  how cute is this???  all I know is, whatever we do, I really want confetti canons.  This is our last...we've got to go all out.

three.  easter outfits
I found the boys the most adorable suit sets for a great price at JCPennys this week.  and Dillard's Men department had the best deals on suits/shirts!  I LOVE Lauren McBrides Easter dress ideas under $50.
similar

four.  easter decorations + a visit from Lala on her Springbreak
I'm never in to spring decorations like I am all the other seasons/holidays.  and until cade fixes my mirror in the entryway, I have no motivation to make it what I'd like it to be...BUT here's a few things I do have just to set the mood for the easter spring days ahead...

and Lala came up for a day of her spring break.  we went downtown when I got off work to one of our fav places!  Phoenix Pharmacy & Fountain... for floats, ice cream, & tulip lookin on the way.

five.  just for giggles
if you haven't seen this on facebook yet, here ya go.  So accurate, I am pretty sure I had every product she's uses except for the dark lipliner.
Have a great weekend❤️

Easter Ideas + Faves || 2019

After realizing how fast we are closing in on Easter this past Wednesday, Conley & I took a trip to browse for ideas & the best prices on the pastel-ly spring welcoming Jesus praising pretty holiday.
We hit up our two old faithful holiday stores- Marshall's & Target.
I'd like to go to the Dollar tree & Dollar Store soon, but I know if I need any fillers- that's definitely where to go!

Along with all the sunshine we've soaked in this week, after seeing all the pretty spring things, I'd say I'm feeling extra cheerful & rejuvenated!

Marshall Finds:
how cute is this wreath?
I love buying easter candy for baskets here, because it legit looks like it came from April Valley.
dishtowel love
look at all their easter basket fillers in the toy section...so cute❤️

what we really left with...
rabbit straws $2.99
All I need now are some cute napkins for my table caddy & it will be spring ready!

Target Finds:

Grass filler in dollar bin for a buck.  Have y'all found it any cheaper?  Crazy thing is...if you go to easter section it's $2.00...don't fall for it!
I love the giant eggs...you can actually close the lids when you fill these to the brim!
Seems like they were $3-5
the dollar bin never disappoints-& it's always changing.
I love the rain boots to put flowers in!

what we really left with...
all purpose cleaner (rumored to smell like anthropology candles) & a sidewalk chalk kit.  I usually use my oils to make my own by I'm about to run out and this was $1.89 and I vouch-it smells SO good!

Boy's Easter Baskets

My favorite place to look for easter baskets is Home Goods or Marshalls.  Why?  Because I've learned the boys will never notice them again after they get al their things out & I ALWAYS need baskets for storage-for their room or other places around the house.  AND THEY"RE CHEAP!

a d o r a b l e + $5.99

LOVE the stripes!  And $9.99
They had large ones with handles if you do larger baskets for Easter.  I'm thinking $12-16.99
Happy easter prepping, friends❤️

Merry Spring Break Wednesday!

Is that a thing?  Merry Wednesday?  It is this week!  It's my Spring Break😍
So...life lately + plans for this week off.

one. menu plans
You guys, I have really struggled lately.  With energy, food, motivation for life.  Saturday I thought I had turned a corner, even with what seemed like an impending sinus infection.  Nope.  Struggling again today on this Sunday eve as I type the first part of this post.  I think I've convinced myself to self medicate.  To do that...its going to require a lot of planning & prep on my part.

I've had a lot of yucky side effects from my nausea & prenatal medicine this time around & after my doctor visit last week, I've found that what I put into my body is extremely important this third time around.  Not that it wasn't before, I've always tried to be conscious of my diet/exercise/ & lifestyle during pregnancy, but every pregnancy is different.

For whatever reason, this one requires more of an emphasis here.  I haven't felt like cooking AT ALL so we've resorted to eating out or getting frozen meals for the past couple of week, & of course, when your nauseous, you eat what you can tolerate.  I've seen how a few changes in my diet has made a huge difference over the past week.  Not to mention my essential oils that I've put on the back burner lately due to expense.  I'm ready to get back in the kitchen & back to healthier options.  Thankful to have this week to plan!

two.  organize
I had a burst of energy to do this around Christmas, & here I am per usual on Spring Break.
That same desire to divide & conquer our mess!  Especially my + my Mr's closet, the boys closet, & figuring out how to prepare for the new baby.  Our playroom will be a bedroom now, one way or another, & that is going to take quite a bit planning!
Turning my diffusers on & getting things DONE.
current playroom situation🙈

three.  learn to French braid/fish braid?
I've felt super lazy in fixing my hair since pregnancy set in.  I have a new desire to learn this before I start back to work.  How cute would this be?

four. Soak up ALL the Vitamin D & have Lunch with Cam!
One of mine & the boys favorite thing to do is park hop.  We love to try new parks & visit the ones we love.  I leave it up to them-new or find something we know?  We grab drinks & head out!  We need allllll the sunshine this week.

Cam begs me to have lunch with him, & most of the time, my job keeps me from it.
(it breaks my HEART)
So this week off, every day we can-we have met him at 10:40 (YEP-early birds) for lunch!  Today was our second day with our big boy!  He has been so excited for our company-but I know my excitement outweighed his to pieces.  I treasure this💜

five. planning easter
I've been a cookie making machine...so these lemon white chocolate m&m cookies are up this next week for dessert.
Also, I just completely had a mini freak out realizing easter is a mere 2 weeks away.  It is the one holiday that always seems to creep up on me.  Trying to think up things for the boys baskets that are "needs" with a side of something special that they will actually use.  Con & I are going to go walk around Target before we pick Cam up from school & maybe come up with ideas today.  And last year, we recycled our Easter Sunday best, so I'm not going to panic as that is always an option.
On a side note: do any other adults out there like to hunt and hide eggs as much as I do?
We started doing that in early March😂

And let's just be real.
All I've really done so far is conquered tons of progress reports.  That may be all I get done.  After this week, I think I only have to endure them one more time - so I think I can do this!  And I'll enjoy doing it from home as I do❤️
