Stocking Stuffers

Does anyone else have as hard of a time thinking of gifts and stocking stuffers for this age as I do?  I don't want to buy a bunch of "stuff" just to buy it to fill a stocking.  I mean, let's just face it, our babies this age won't even remember what they got for their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Christmas.  Nevertheless, I want him to be excited Christmas morning and get to experience the fun of waking up with some fun surprises to play with, so I'll give it my best go...and add a few toddler snacks in the mix.

What do you plan on stuffing your babies stockings with?  I honestly think Cam's favorite thing would be the cooking set, because he constantly drags out wisks and cast iron pans (yes, I'm serious) and says "cook" as he whips up his imaginary feast.  If only he could bring that feast to life...he would be mommy's A # 1 helper;)  I'm thinking this one is a must on Santa's list!

In other news, we went to Dollywood this weekend.  Yea, it poured the rain and was freezing cold!  But we still had a good time and got to squeeze in a lot of festive shows and a picture with Rudolph the Reindeer and friends.  We also seen Santa, but Cam preferred to peek at him from afar.  He played in the legos and wrote him a letter instead:)  Maybe he will be more willing to visit Ho Ho when daddy comes to town?

Our Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2014 will definitely go down in the Adams family book as a very non-traditional Thanksgiving.    All I can say is... it had better snow for Christmas or else I am going to be somewhat disappointed after all of the snow we were spoiled with over Thanksgiving:)

We left Knoxville, TN with clear blue skies and seasonably warm temperatures and flew into a winter tornadicane when we touched down in the Twin Cities for our connecting flight.  The snow was beautiful to watch from the terminal, but when you have been sitting on a plane for an hour while you are deiced, it can be a bit overwhelming with a toddler hiking up your head and throwing cheez-its between the seats.  But hey, it was worth it!  And Cam was a flying pro this time around!  I think he is already learning the ropes:)

We were SO happy to see daddy's face when we walked through those airport doors.  I wish I could just glue us all three together in the Cam sandwich position and never move again.  We went with our crew to only the busiest Walmart in the country to grab last minute groceries and a tree to kick off the celebration.  We survived and even made it in time to sip coffee and take in the 45, 632th viewing of A Charlie Brown Thanskgiving.

When we woke up Thanksgiving morning, we set up camp in the floor, turned on the parade, while the Mr. cooked the biggest spread of biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and eggs ever.  I'm a lucky lady...he is pretty much the best breakfast cook in the whole entire world.  It was perfect, as if I can ever be thankful enough!

The man of the hour?  Snoop.  And the second runner up may just go to Thomas the Train (or as Cam knows him, "Choo-choo.")  Santa didn't stand a chance.  For the adults, seeing WCU as the lead band was probably the highlight--but idk, I have to agree with Cam.  Snoopy was pretty cool.

We had a yummy lasagna dish and Cam became obsessed with singing Let It Go, showing off pictures of Ony, and rummaging through all of my scarves.  Does lasagna do that to people?

On Black Friday, we braved the subzero temps and went to one of Cade's friends house for some turkey and dressing.   After, we went to check out a local park that had just kicked off an annal light celebration in the park.  It was so cold.  We ran out in enough time for Cam to shout WOW, break the snot cicles from our noses, and snap a pic.  After all that fun we decided to call it a day and head back to the apartment to watch it snow.  I didn't know how to play Rook, which was the activity of choice for our crowd, so I got my Santa on and snagged some stocking stuffers from one of my favorite etsy shops, greythread (aka riley clay designs)!  No better way to represent...  Check them out to see what I mean;)
A couple of flight delays later and here we are back to another daddy countdown, into the swing of everyday life.  I don't deserve these memories, these people, or anything else I ever share with you...but I have to give praise every chance I get to the creator and provider of it all, my Savior Jesus Christ.  Of Him, To Him, Through Him are ALL things.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S.  Don't forget to enter the giveaway or join our Instagram December CHRISTmas Photo Challenge:-)  I don't know if I can speak for everyone, but it is really putting me in the Christmas spirit and I am having a blast looking at everyone's Christmas fun everyday:)

Welcome, December! My Favorite Month.

Ahhhhhh.  It is here.  My most favorite time of year!  Why does it make life feel so much more magical than the others?  I just don't get it...How about it showing up on a Monday too?  I like your style December.  You knew how much I would need that excitement after Thanksgiving break.  To add to the excitement of December's arrival, I have a lot of exciting news to share today;)

In honor of my favorite month, I am collaborating with Freshly Picked Moccasins to host a giveaway celebrating the arrival of the Christmas season!!!  Beginning today until 12:00 am December 10, ONE lucky winner will get the opportunity to pick out any pair of moccasins from Freshly Picked Moccasins, a $60 dollar value, for FREE.  You heard me, FREE!  You cannot miss out on this ladies!  Why you may ask?  Well, let me just tell you...

Just as December is our favorite month, Freshly Picked Moccasins are our most favorite shoes.  With a little boy who loves comfort, durability, and is need of a grow with me type of shoe...these adorable shoes are a dream.  Cam's foot has grown quicker than any other part of his body.  These moccasins tend to grow with him better than any other shoe due to their elastic band that secures them to his foot.  Did I mention that if you ever have trouble with keeping shoes on your baby, these will do the trick?  Say goodbye to strings and squishing feet into tight spaces:)  Don't you like the sound of that?

I also can't tell you how sweet they look with any outfit.  I honestly can't count the number of compliments we receive, every time Cam wears these sweet little shoes.  We love the colors and love the uniqueness of the design.  We've worn them inside, outside, for a small amount of time, or a whole entire day.  On airplane flights, on playground chips, and crunching through the crisp fall leaves...they really have proven their outstanding quality and adorability to this mom.  And her little boy;)  So, why wait?  Enter NOW!  All you have to do is give your email address in the space below.  I would also love for you to share your favorite Christmas traditions in the comment box below, just for fun.
