7 Months!

You know what they say...better late than never!
I swear, with each month Cam gets more fun and playful...
and 2xfqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq2
Yep that was Cam.
 He is into EVERYTHING
and expects attention 24/7...
so you can go ahead and consider
coming home from work my second shift:)
My favorite of the two!

Watch Baby Cam Grow:
{One Month} {Two Months} {Three & Four Months} {Five Months} {Six Months}
He's almost too heavy for mommy to hold like this now!

A Few Of My Favorite Things:  Playing with mommy’s necklaces, bouncing up and down, pushing my activity walker, squealing, bath time, peek-a-boo, babbling, slobbering, twinkle lights, walking with someone holding my hands, going outside, swinging, petting Cookie, FOOD and Milk/Juice, listening to our church choir

Not so favorite...getting my face wiped, sleeping (yes we are back to that agian), riding without a buddy, when you quit feeding me...

Milestones: Saying MAMA! J J  Army crawling, rolling over and pushing up to crawl, standing (11/17/2013), walking when I push things, 1st Christmas show, squeals like a pig (hopefully this won’t last long),

My hands:  Always busy searching for the next teething toy.  Anything will do!  Toothpaste...Mom's fresh flowers...chip bags...fingers!  I love to type on the computer!

Still no teeth...

My feet:  I am standing on my own!  But I fall a lot, so you have to be close by!  I like to push my activity walker.  I can basically get any where I need to go, sometimes that is not a good thing (i.e. wires, dog toys, coffee cups)

Music: We listened to Halloween Party radio all of September and October and now I'm slowly trying to spark his interest in Christmas music;)  He also likes to "bounce" to "Jump Around"

Best Part of Month(s):  All of our fall festivities and watching our baby grow up healthy and happy...I wonder sometimes why God blessed me with being a mommy.  I think this was the job I was put here to do!  He is my sunshine.

Worst Part of Month:  Falling off the bed at Nana  & Papas…Pretty sure he took years off of their life.

My favorite products: Snoopy, Raffi music, Etsy's velcro ties, Baby Converse, organic baby blankets, activity walker, standing activity center, rubber duckies...thinking Santa is going to have to invest in some new and fresh bath toys!

But What Will I Wear? Part 1: Baby Edition.

"But what will I wear?" -The Grinch

The holiday gatherings are coming, and I don't know about you...
but I always get excited about decorating my family for the seasonal fun.
I love this season's hues of warm neutral colors and fabrics of wool, knits, and flannel!

The decorating used to only consist of myself, the Mr., the pups...
which you can only get so festive.
Maybe toooo festive in their opinion!

But NOW...I get to add the Camster in the mix!

Here are a few of my favorites for a Tiny Tot Thanksgiving:

baby girl: {sweater dress} {tights} {hairbow} {starprint dress} {bow coat} {moccassins}
baby boy: {chunky cardigan} {hat} {bowtie, similar} {plaid button-up} {moccasins} {sweater pull over} {cord button-up

Up next, my favorite finds for mommy and daddy!
Hope everyone had a beautiful day:)

Thanksgiving's Near, With A Little Christmas Cheer

Can you smell it?
Turkey and dressing.  The Macy's Thanksgiving Christmas Parade.
Thankful hearts.  Coffee a brew to keep the Black Friday shoppers alert and cheerful for the long night ahead...

Thanksgiving is a special time.
Though I love and eagerly await all the things I mentioned above,
this season is all about taking a step back and thanking God for his precious Son Jesus,
the blessings he has allowed us to experience,
and for never having to want or need anything.

In spirit of Thanksgiving being a mere 2 weeks away...
I am sharing some of my favorite festive kid friendly celebration ideas
as some friends and I prepare for our
1st annual Seafood Thanksgiving Eve Celebration!

 {1. a charlie brown thanksgiving} {2. kids table setting, martha stewart} {3. glitter pumpkins} {4. pilgrim hats, martha stewart} {5. fresh flowers, local grocery} {6. tree centerpiece, martha stewart} {7. twas the night before thanksgiving{8. paper straws & pom turkeys, target}

As much as I absolutely LOVE Christmas,
I am really trying to make myself present for this season of thanks.
I have a baby to set an example for now...
and I want him to know the true meaning of the season along with all of the sweet traditions and memories God allows us to make!

This year, since I am prolonging our Christmas festivities as long as possible-
we are experiencing Thanksgiving with a bit of Christmas cheer.

The tree isn't up yet and we have fresh fall flowers,
with leaves, owls, and pumpkins still lingering about.
And maybe a little bit...okay a lot...of Christmas music echoing through the house.
And car.

We have several strings of twinkle lights laying in the floor of our den
that Cam and I enjoy every evening,
while the Mr. constantly insists on unplugging them much to our dismay.

Rudi likes to moon the camera

We may or may not have stalked Target's Christmas decorations this weekend and replaced a pumpkin spiced latte with a gingerbread latte.

I am also making sure Cam's new pal Rudi tags along when we leave the comforts of home and traded in my black nails for a holiday red.
But HEY...
I am completely excited to say-

Tis' the season to be thankful!:)
And so very thankful this mommy is.

A First Halloween

Happy Holidays November 1st to everyone!
November to December is my ABSOLUTE favorite time of year...
I wait for these two months impatiently year round!

But before we begin the holiday fun...
lets wrap up Halloween:)

Let me just start by saying that it was THE perfect day for Halloween.
Gray overcast skies, brisk winds, and leaves blowing everywhere!
It could have been colder but hey... Can't have it all!
It was most definitely a day I will never forget,
but it wasn't all I had cracked it up to be!
Go figure...

I had no regrets for going into work late for our Spooky Breakfast celebration.
It was the perfect way to wake up to Cam's first Halloween!

After C read "The Night Before Halloween," to Cam...
we had a huge spread fit to feed an army of monsters, including boo-berry muffins, creepy cakes, freaky fruit, biscuits and the grave, ghost stakes, jeepers juice...
you name it!
(A special shout out to the Mr. for getting up at 8am to help prepare the meal!
He kinda hates me right now...)

Count Fruit-ula aka Cam's Breakfast

While we stuffed our bellies full (yes, including Cam) we tuned
into Good Morning America and Live with Kelly and Michael's Halloween specials.
They didn't disappoint.  Kelly pulled off Miley Cyrus like nobody's business!

After our breakfast it was off to work for mommy for ANOTHER Halloween celebration and geriatric therapy "holi-dized" by yours truly;)

I really think we should have began Trick-or-Treating, oh I don't know...
IMMEDIATELY after breakfast?

Cam was NOT having it.
Halloween was beginning to turn into Howl-o-ween for this wolf.

Everytime we got back into the car and strapped this little
pup into his carseat, and removed his werewolf head to cool him down...
the howling began.

When the little wolf howls, mommy red riding hood's heart hurts.
Making for a pretty miserable trapes through rain to the rest of the houses
we visited.

C & Lolli tagged along as "A" and Ali from "Pretty Little Liars

All in all...
I can say that we have sweet pictures and funny memories
to look back on Cam's first Halloween.
Next year however...we will be boycotting carseat trick or treating!
And "daddy"...
don't even THINK of working next year!
I'm already brainstorming our family costumes;)
No more carseat, daddy-less Halloweens for us!
Arent we so blessed to be able to have such fun?
#foodforthought

Happy weekend!
