Gender Party-Baby #3: It's a GIRL!

We can officially nix "it" & start saying she!
Something we have never done in this house hold before😜
Last weekend, after keeping the secret for FOUR whole days.
Phone calls, bribery, trickery...we survived it!
We took Cam with us to see the baby on the ultrasound & be there to learn the gender.  I was skeptical, but when he asked, I just couldn't deny him that moment.  And I think it was one of the best decisions ever.  He wanted a little sister & he knew I would love to have a little girl, too.

The moment when the sonographer said "it's a girl" Cam and Cade both looked over at me with the biggest smiles.  Cam's face was beaming.
I don't think I'll ever forget that moment with the two of them.
Full circle moment...Cam pushed that red monster truck around on hands and knees in Dr. B's office my entire pregnancy with Conley, before that those same toys sat there when I was pregnant with HIM.  And now, here he is in kindergarten as we visit with our sweet baby #3
And you know what???  That little stinker kept our secret the entire time.

All for my Mamaw to pull the first gender canon before anyone else was ready😂
Cade had it ALL planned perfectly.  He had bought a blue cannon for Cam to "accidentally set off" to throw everyone off.  Well, Cam ran in and attempted to set it off...& everyone stopped him.  We moved on to the porch where Cade had the selfie stick ready, we had been to every Hobby Lobby in East Tennessee collecting allllllll the pink confetti cannons, and the time had come to finally pass out the cannons in anticipation of running to the dock to capture all the pink exploding behind us with all the shocked faces.  He had the perfect moment planned.  This is our last baby and we wanted it to be special (especially with a girl).  He was bummed, I can't say I really was.
We are having a LITTLE GIRL!!
There is not much that can bring me down right now🤗

Photo Dump!...
of course this is the only decent picture I could snap!
Tacos + rice+ Melon Ball Punch
I still have prickles in my foot from traveling with that cactus...

AND THE BIG - UNPLANNED MOMENT😬
PINK!!!!
***ignore terrible chipped toe nails-look at the PINK!
Kind of sad we didn't get a family picture, but a quick selfie (Cade changed out of his "planned picture outfit" bahaha) will do.

Thankfully I had taken this picture Saturday morning so I had something sweet to share💜
Can you tell I'm excited? 😁💕

13 AND 17 weeks || Baby A # 3

Because, surprise, I FAILED at taking a 13 week picture...
It’s amazing how difficult it is to take a little picture these days-it’s not what I intended but it will work today!

How far along? 13 weeks + 1 days
Total weight gain: ( I was up 10 lbs because of some side effects from my naseau medicine.  When we got that straightened out I lost 6 lbs in a day.  It was a rough first trimester )
Maternity clothes? not yet!  I can still squeeze in my jeans:)
Sleep: Okay...
Best moment this week: Hearing the babies heartbeat and that everything is okay.  It is an unmistakable blessing from God.
Miss Anything? Energy & feeling good!
Cravings: weirdest I've ever experienced.  I chose sherbet over cookies and cream this week y'all.  Never sour over chocolate.  NEVER.  Also, meat.  I crave cheeseburgers.  I usually can't s t a n d meat.  It's so crazy!
Symptoms: nausea, weakness, blood sugar dropping
Looking forward to: being able to enjoy pregnancy & the slower (I hope) days of summer.
How far along? 17 weeks ago
Total weight gain: 5-6 lbs fluctuating for the last month
Maternity clothes? not yet! I definitely feel more comfy in longer shirts.  Scouring Jane.com for tunics for summer.  Gimme all the things to wear with leggings.
Sleep: I feel back and stomach soreness every night.  Already😬
Best moment this week: I am feeling good again:). It feels so nice to be able to do morning workouts & have energy again!
Miss Anything? energy & feeling good!
Cravings: Hmmmm.  I am always STARVING after work.  I would say mostly protein.  Cheese and meat.  That is usually the opposite of what I crave.
Looking forward to: The gender reveal on Tuesday!  Guesses?  I am guessing boy.  Pretty sure I'm boy mom for life.

Spring 2019

Well y'all, it is official.  We are skipping spring and stepping right into summer as we seem to do every year in the good ole South.  We went from the BEST most refreshing weather for walking after school & visits to the playground, to sweating miserably and feeling faint in a matter of a few weeks. Our pool is opening mid May instead of the traditional Memorial Day!  Its THAT hot!
Lately, we've been saving the later evenings for play.  It's so close to bed time it makes the hubs & I cringe (lol) but we endure for the sake of happy kids & a bit of fresh air.  Every evening our neighbors are waiting outside for the boys to come and play.  They play right after supper and up until it's time for baths.  It cracks me up & I love it so much.

One evening I ate biscuit and gravy twice.  And I almost died.  Maple Biscuit company is delish though.   We give it a thumbs up aside from the environment.  A little too community for me, not enough personal space for a personal brunch outing.  Very cute, though.  This same day we cooked a neighborhood breakfast for supper (yep, why I had b&g twice) and & had an inside egg hunt for the kids.  We also made a bunny cake, something I used to always do with my nana when I was a little girl.
This pics caption:  Conley: "Mom, look at all these bathbombs!"
Okay.  He had to have his picture made with them.
Aye aye aye 😹
The day before Good Friday my little sis invited me to tag along to a concert.  Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young did not disappoint for a fun night:).
And the day off to follow, was a m a z i n g for the soul.
For Easter, we went to NC with family to celebrate & it was such a nice time.  We got home late for the easter bunny baskets, & stayed up way too late exploring the new goodies inside.
Last weekend, we took Cam to the race he'd sacrificed for the orange and white game & been dying to go ever since.  They lasted about 5 minutes in the stand before they resorted to watching while they rolled down the grassy hill 54,343 times.  But their faces when those cars made the first lap was worth it all.  Pure childhood dreams.
Lately, it feels as though the school year is finally trying to wind down.  Field trips, award ceremonies, annuals, ordering gifts for the best kindergarten teacher (some first grade teacher has big shoes to fill).  I came in from work last week with Cam saying, "Mom, I have to switch schools!  The first grade teacher is so mean!!!"
Wonderful news, right?
his teacher sent this in the mail❤️

I wrote a book & dumped too many pictures just to say, remember these little moments.  We may forget them-but what significance they have!  They are what makes up who we are, what we treasure, what we become.  Write things down & save all the pictures-even if you feel like there is never time (because there never will be!  I know!).  You will never regret it.
