If June Could Talk...

I was sitting at football practice the other day with my little trio (Cade is helping coach this year) & a mom sitting next to me nicely began begging her what appeared to be older toddler to give her "just a few minutes of quiet" so she could watch her older son at practice.  Which turned in to...  "Let's play shut mouth for just a second." leading to my favorite: "Can we be quiet for just a second?"  This fun (and familiar game to me) went on for the entire 2 hours of practice😂

I feel that on such a deep level, but especially in the car or at football practice.

from an early Sunday morning walk

All laughing aside, I am truly soaking up the slower summer days.  We are still busy, but it does seem like there is more time for fun things.  Ya know like smores, blue goo ice creams, & identification of what the corona virus looks like of course...if June could talk- and wasn't playing shut mouth...it'd go a little like this:

Conley has found the face of the corona virus.  Brace yourselves:

The Adams Trio

This week is the last week of baseball (written earlier-we've been out for about 3 weeks and practicing football now!).  While Cam finished last week, Conley's team is playing for a place in the championship this evening (they got first runner up out of over 30 teams)!  He literally doesn't have a clue what that means.  But he thinks he is awesome.  SO...😎LOL

The boys are so excited about football.  Saturday morning, we took a special trip & went to get their cleats/football gear at the new House of Sports (the biggest Dicks Sporting Goods in the country now-excuse my nerd outburst here-but...that's so cool!) and literally played football all weekend.  I can barely walk.  Cam used me as his tackling dummy.  Good times.

Side Note: Conley pulled every cleat off the shelf and begged Cade for it if as long as it was bold or shiny in appearance😂.  Cade was adament to get them red or black-team colors only.  Not Con.
he raised a baby bird this month😂. no really, he did.
he lost another tooth.  In a Mexican restaurant.  It made me think of my brother because he ALWAYS lost his loose tooth at a restaurant-everytime😊. And I pulled this one!
Just a highlight from Conley's kindergarten check-up!

Cam has been my biggest helper and I'd say a highlight in June for him was when he found an old Nintendo at McKays bookstore and ended up getting it for 4 dollars.  I'd say that was his favorite purchase of life.

Baker loves to take all her clothes off and sit on her potty.  I got her one just because she tells us everytime she poops or pees & it just seemed like a good idea.  Well, she avoids it now😂
note**her bed/nap hair is epic
she is beginning to wear hair bows more and more!

She is swimming by herself with her puddle jumper!  Neither of the boys were ever this brave😂. The main word she says is "pool."  And I often confuse it with "poop."  Sometimes it's an issue.
Snacks, Sunday after church cheese dip, and Choc choc are life.

SUMMER FUN
squirt gun fights, donut dates, some buddies came to visit and we made a humongous shrimp boil that we ate on for days later-went to the grand opening of Dicks HOS-ate a snow cone at Pelicans everyday- went to batting cages-and closed Target down.

FAITH

This verse has been popping up a lot for me...

"For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

I wrote this at the beginning of June and I had a devotion YESTERDAY with it.  I just read a book that was based on this verse.  I think God is trying to tell SHOUT me something!

ENTERTAINMENT

Loved finding this topic on a podcast this week...so needful.

HOME

Update on the lighting fixtures we've had since March!  Cade was going to ask Cam's electrician baseball coach to hang them at the last game BUT...he didn't😂
There's always next year, as long as they survive laying in the floor of the office.

OUR COUCH CAME!!🙌🏻😍
BEFORE: Our sweet couch of 12 years❤️

The Newbie:
Love it so much.  It's HUGE.  Like bigger than I thought.  We ordered two white chairs to sit across from it along the other wall and we are having to rethink how we are going to arrange!  SO happy it's here!

HOLIDAYS

Fathers Day

And just like Mother's Day...we ended up with zero pictures...but we went to the lake to spend the day with our dads and then back to Knoxville because we had nursery duty at church the next morning.

MOM LIFE

PSA: Panera bread is offering free coffee (While I have known that...I didn't know it also included ICED!).  It is my afternoon practice treat and I am so excited to find it for free!

Raspberries & Cookie Hershey bars are game changers for more making...
I have never played UNO before...(until this month) but the boys and I learned it and have spent many June mornings when Baker sleeps in- in an intense UNO game.

Just when I thought pick up groceries couldn't get any better, they come up with door step delivery.  I know I'm a little late to the Walmart plus game, but-this spoils me.  BAD!

LOOKING FORWARD TO...
The fourth of July, always☀️
