Ahhhh. Did you hear that? That's a sigh of relief, people!
Why have I been MIA? Well...
But now I can officially say that all summer obligations are COMPLETE...
sweating it out in closets & libraries + working late on Fridays are OVER🙌🏻
As of today, I am an official part time, two day a week employee!
With a side of being a teletherapist the other two days a week😬
Still know I am going to be busy, but it can't be as crazy as the past year!
Right now, with a week off in the forecast- it feels SO good!
And I'm just going to bask in that moment.

We are celebrating with our (what seems like) annual end of the year beach trip.
If anyone needs a vacation, it is Cade. He has basically worked Monday-Saturday everyday this summer in this humid southern heat, dealing with so much craziness.
We are ALL ready.
We are ALL ready.
The last hoorah of the summer.
I love looking forward to it all spring/summer long & after all the summer fun we can cram into one week, we deal with "the end" by ushering in Christmas music on the way home, dreaming of fall decorations, & planning all the fall & Christmas things.
One of my favorites is a Christmas photo challenge:)
Plus+++, OUR BABY GIRL IS COMING IN OCTOBER!
I'll stop.
At the beginning of summer, Cam made a bucket list. I'd like to think we have almost crossed everything off that list, besides the waterpark. I always say we will get season passes to that & the zoo & somehow we always forget how great that would be.
Did everything go perfectly? Not a chance.
The Fourth is always my favorite part of summer. I look forward to it *almost* as much as Halloween. There's just something about bomb pops, watching fireworks, & floating the day away on the lake (well-most years, ours was a little different this year-we traded our car🤪) that allow us to pause a second & soak summer all up.
My favorite new experience this year was watching fireworks with our neighbors in our neighborhood. Cade & I had to work up until the very last minute, so we were home for the first time during the fourth. Talk about a porch display! The boys loved it-Tepper, however, not so much-homegirl not a fan of fireworks.
Our food truck park experience was good atmosphere, the smell of delicious food (but miserably hot, crowded, & the lines did NOT move).
The ice cream truck has yet to come through our neighborhood.
Even though this jar...
is stocked with cash so we will never have a popsicle ripped out of our hands ever again. We improvise & go downtown. Who needs the stinky ole ice cream truck, right??
But, man-Bible school was so much fun! Every night, they chattered all the way home about what they had learned & how much they loved every night at "Giddy Up Junction"❤️
Cam has had a pretty rough summer. To keep it lighthearted, I kinda joke & say he's six going on ninety. We've been to almost every pediatric specialist in East Tennessee, lately. We've had a mole removed (that turned out not to be cancerous-but we still have to go back because there was something in it that wasn't normal AND he has had to stay out of the water with all of this bacteria scare going on). A tooth pulled, something else going on that seems like he is having trouble seeing (currently, his pediatrician thinks it may be a childhood tic, but-since it is not the typical "blinking tic" (he tilts his head & widens his eyes) we are being referred to an ophthalmologist for further evaluation-to rule out the need for an EEG).
He has been such a trooper through it all! On top of starting his first year of football- flag football😉
Stages of Conley at football practice
belly shelfing it
Conley on the other hand has busy trying to kill our dog, Tepper. He loves to jump on every piece of furniture (our couch has a hole in it) & refuses to clean up without BIG demands ("I'm too scared!"). He is a challenging 3 year old to say the least, but gosh he can also be so sweet.
It really is time to do a post about them-they are so fun right now besides allllll the fighting.
I could live a good life without that!
Now, off to clean the house, pack up, & go to Cam's first football game before heading out early in the morning!
Many summer wishes, sweet friends🍊

I love a good holiday brunch!
The next day, we headed to the no cell signal & the mountains for fun with family❤️Our food truck park experience was good atmosphere, the smell of delicious food (but miserably hot, crowded, & the lines did NOT move).
