He We Go Again! 2021 version 🤩

 Happy new school year!

I sit in disbelief that when I began this blog almost 9 years ago, I was kidless expecting Cam who is now embarking on his THIRD GRADE journey!  No way.  No way, you guys!

I'm so proud of these three.

Conley starting kindergarten!  Baker on her 2nd year of PDO (just a seasoned pro, by now-right?)

I couldn't help but burst into tears of thankfulness to God for finding a way to allow me to spend so much more time with them in their baby years.  I remember time after time, praying that he would find some way to let me be there for them within our home.  God answered my, what seemed impossible at the time prayer.  And I will never thank him enough.  Money can't buy my time with them or the memories we've made the past few years!  SO BLESSED and thankful.

It has been a little stressful in my working world.  Somehow there have been issues that have delayed my start date at longer than a month at this point.   Someone asked me if I was enjoying this unexpected time off, and my answer was...well, if I didn't have to worry about having a job to come back to!  Worry IS my middle name you know😝. Thankfully, today I received the news that I have been hired by another teletherapy company and another is in the works (because...apparently you never know and you have to be prepared!).  I prayed specifically to get answers last week, and God showed up & showed out today as I know he always will in his time.

Teppy when all the kids are asleep 😆...

What else?

I've been listening to lots of spiritual based podcasts on my walks.  Is it just me or is that the equivalent to fueling up a car that is on empty?  I cried, I prayed, I feel like I've grown.  I'm fighting a lot of internal battles with myself and trying to grow & I feel Satan fighting tooth & nail with me.  But I know God is bigger.  I know what I'm fighting is NOTHING compared to others, especially in the eastern part of the world-but man.  Good stuff.  Exercise and Jesus = 🙌🏻

Pumpkin Spice is back!

This is always such a fun day/time when the seasonal coffee's make their way back on the menu...

1.  It means Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are coming.

2. I love the flavors.  As long as I can figure out how to order/make them not too sweet🙃

Now that I've completed this post that has sat in my draft since the beginning of August...

maybe I can stay caught up!

Summer 2021

And just like that, summer has come and gone.

In my life, if I've learned anything it's that time truly is fleeting.  We can dwell on that in a negative way, or find some unnatural way to make it positive.  And I choose to make it positive!

I can thank my Mr. for that.  He always has the refreshing perspective of making things light hearted & positive.  He's consistently challenging my innate Eeyore personality to see the silver lining in everything... especially when it comes to our kids.

I've never experienced anything like watching your kids grow up.  It's such a happy happy kind of sadness.  It's not like death, but similar in that, you can't really cope if you dwell on it all the time.  So I'm stopping here to say, you aren't going to hear me discussing how sad I am anymore-let's think of the happy!  And joy in this moment-so I can soak up what Cade called yesterday as the best days of our life.  And I have to agree.  May we not mask those days with the dread of them growing up on us.  Let's enjoy them growing up on us instead❤️. What is it Dr. Suess said?

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!

Pray this over me & I'll pray it over you!

Lot's of Sonic Happy Hours, TWO Bible Schools, football practices, pool days, porch hangs, pumpkin watering', lemonade stand for Christmas, the Fourth of July, BeBe's birthday, family brunchin',  ...squeezing in as many more sibling bubble baths as we can (they beg me but they are busting at the seams out of the tub LOL), allowances burning holes in their pockets (see Nintendo purchase), sunsphere field trip, food court date night with a trip to admire Pottery Barn without children, catching' lightening bugs in frying pans, lake days, rah-rah patrolling/rescue in the backyard every morning, front porch peeing against mom's wishes, target trips in our pj's, and the unforgettable neighborhood walks with Bakie yelling at me and demanding 25 popsicles!

What a summer, 2021!

Pumpkin planting!

they accidentally ordered spandex uniforms for Con's flag football team...
DEAD! 😂. He rocks it though.

Cade volunteered (or was volunteered 😂) to be a coach on Cam's 8U team-he has been loving it-even though he never darkens the door until like 9 pm every night.  I have to say...It is so fun doing this together-both of them playing and being outside every evening!  And Cam is eating up his time with dad...makes me so happy!
Conley to his friends: This is my sister, her name is Bakie.😭
I can't remember the other part, maybe it will come to me, but as usual...it was hilarious.

And I leave you with our summer home project...
our mudroom organizing station!  I've envisioned this since we moved in, it just takes a while to get to each project 😊. I'm so in love!  It will make our life so much easier to have a place to put everything now that they are all in "school/PDO."

I'll do the finished product in my next post (I'll try to not wait a month).🥴
